Kevin Bauer is a young, but already successful sculptor. Kevin Bauer graduated in 2013 at the AKI in Enschede. In the same year he was awarded the International Outstanding Student In Contemporary Sculpture Award by The International Sculpture Organization. In 2016 he received the Young Talent work contribution from the Mondriaan Fund and the Stroom Pro Invest subsidy from Stroom Den Haag.His work has been included in various corporate collections, including the AKZO Nobel Art Foundation Collection.

Kevin currently lives and works in The Hague.His work is on show from 21-4 until 1-7-2018 at Concordia in Enschede. He builds an exhibition in which the room and the art will work together. In his studio in The Hague Kevin shows the way he works and where he gets his inspiration from.

He talks about the importance of the image and the form in his work. Material and the construction are the ingredients he uses to construct the image he has in his head. He doesn’t strive for perfection but for concentration in his work.
