In the spring of 2015, the Canadian choreographer Édouard Lock created a ballet for two dancers as part of the exhibition ‘La La La Human Steps’. In this, he not only demanded the utmost from in particular his female dancer, Gesina Moog, but he also paid extreme attention to every detail – clothing, lighting, music. Lock has since spent a long time polishing the video made of the dance, which he directed and edited himself with same attention for detail. His dance company ‘La La La Human Steps’, which gave its name to the exhibition, has in the meantime ceased to exist. The video, however, is now ready for publication. It was made in response to the exhibition ‘La La La Human Steps’ in Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, which was held from 6-2-2015 to 25-5-2015.
