In this video you get to meet art collector Frans van Ooijen. He talks about the way he required his works of art and how he met different artists.

From Armando to Tajiri – collector’s discoveries’ shows the elaborate art collection of Frans van Ooijen; a collector from Oss. Presented in its totality for the first time, the collection displays a sample of the 2nd half of 20th century Dutch art. Major characters in art history are represented: Armando, JCJ Vanderheyden, Harrie Gerritz, Aad de Haas, Klaas Gubbels, Ad Gerritsen, Shinkichi Tajiri and many others.

Primary school principal Frans van Ooijen has a life-long fascination for art. Throughout the years he established a personal relationship with many artists. This portrait shows the role art has in the life of Frans van Ooijen. We’ll see how the numerous artworks are displayed and stored in his modest home.
