Winner of numerous awards, Roosegaarde has been the focus of exhibitions from the Tate Modern to the National Museum in Tokyo and has a strong experience with public space commissions. In 2011 he launched a second studio in Shanghai.

By creating interactive designs that instinctively respond to sound and movement, Roosegaarde explores the dawn of a new nature that is evolving from technological innovations.

The studio develops its own technology and is internationally known for interactive projects such as Dune, Liquid Space and Smart Highway.

Studio Roosegaarde and Heijmans Infrastructure are developing new designs, including Dynamic Paint, the Glow-in-the-Dark Road, and Wind Light.

Just like Intimacy, dresses that become transparent based on personal interactions, Lotus Dome uses smart foils that respond to human behaviour.
