The exhibition FOOTPRINT in MoMu took spectators on a journey through the history of shoes in fashion, and promised to be a true revelation for both shoe lovers and fashion freaks. Running the gamut from the otherworldly contemporary designs by Iris Van Herpen and Noritaka Tatehana to 19th century carved wooden clogs: this show highlighted the innovative and bold approach of these designs and investigates their cultural impact. This exhibition displayed the MoMu shoe collection, a long-term loan from collectors Geert Bruloot and Eddy Michiels, supplemented with over 400 unique items from the archives of designers, collectors and international museums.
